Mr. Conroy joined PFM in 2006 from The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).  He served over seven years as its first Chief Investment Officer.  At the time of his departure, CHOP’s investment assets totaled more than $1.5 billion, which grew considerably throughout his tenure.  Through Mr. Conroy’s leadership, significant changes were made to CHOP’s asset allocation and investment manager group, and alternative assets were initially added.  Prior to his duties at CHOP, Mr. Conroy worked for almost 25 years at Conrail.  For the last 11 years at Conrail, Mr. Conroy was assistant treasurer, and his duties included managing the pension and savings plan assets of over $2.6 billion and corporate cash of $750 million.

Mr. Conroy’s serves as a Senior Managing Director for PFM Advisors.  His principal focus is on providing investment management consulting services to Hospitals, Endowments and Foundations.  In addition, Mr. Conroy coordinates PFM’s internal research efforts and leads research on alternative assets.  As a CIO, his depth of knowledge and industry experience adds a unique perspective in developing investment solutions for PFM’s clients.

Mr. Conroy holds a B.S. Degree in Accounting from LaSalle University and a MBA with an emphasis on Finance from Temple University.
