Mr. McLanahan joined Public Financial Management in 1987 as a Consultant in the firm’s Harrisburg Financial Advisory Group and became a Senior Managing Consultant in 1994.

Mr. McLanahan has been the financial advisor to a wide range of municipal issuers in Pennsylvania including school districts, boroughs, townships, and authorities. Mr. McLanahan along with Jamie Doyle is also the financial advisor to the Harrisburg Area Community College. Mr. McLanahan has worked with over 100 municipal issuers in Pennsylvania and is one of the most experienced municipal financial advisors working in Pennsylvania.

Mr. McLanahan works with his clients to develop both short and long range financial planning and strategies designed to finance projects at the lowest possible cost. Mr. McLanahan has been one of the leading advocates for the selling of bonds through the competitive sale process.

Mr. McLanahan graduated from Penn State University in 1970 where he received a Bachelor of Science degree.
