Mr. Walter Johnson rejoined PFM in 2005 and works in its Atlanta office after starting his career with PFM Asset Management in Harrisburg, PA. Mr. Johnson is responsible for providing project management, analytical and technical support to the financial advisory group. His financial advisory experience includes working on refundings and new money issues for municipalities in the Southeast, providing financing for millions of dollars in projects for parks and recreation, sports stadiums, and water and sewer infrastructure. Major issuers served include the City of Atlanta and Fulton County Recreation Authority, DeKalb County, Georgia, Hillsoborough County/Tampa, Florida and the City of New Orleans.

Prior to rejoining PFM, he served as division manager with GlobalTech Financial, a business processing and consulting firm based in Atlanta. At GlobalTech, he developed tax revenue collections strategies for municipal clients. The clients served include large municipalities, such as the City of Atlanta and DeKalb County, GA. His work enabled municipalities to recover millions of dollars in previously uncollected revenue and make finance operations more efficient. Mr. Johnson has also worked as an economic analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where he provided economic research and analysis used in Federal Reserve monetary policy decision making.

Mr. Johnson received a Master's degree Economics from Emory University, with concentrations in macroeconomics and financial economics, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has also studied business at the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
