Duncan Brown initially joined PFM in 2006, and has eight years of experience in public finance. He recently re-joined the firm, having previously worked at a regional bank providing underwriting and direct lending services to public sector clients. His experience includes debt transactions under a wide variety of structures and security types, including general obligation bonds, utility revenue bonds, sales and special tax bonds, 501(c)3 conduit transactions, and special assessment bonds. He has also performed funding studies for public entities throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada. Over the course of his career, he has worked with clients as diverse as port districts, transportation agencies, special purpose districts, special-purpose state corporations, school districts, hospitals, private universities, and 501(c)3 conduit agencies.
Duncan has spoken at numerous industry conferences, including the Washington Finance Officers Association (WFOA), the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA), and the inaugural Washington Ferries Conference. A Washington native, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Politics from Pomona College in Claremont, California.
