Meredith Brett is a Senior Managing Consultant in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Since joining PFM in 2016, she has primarily worked on operational reviews, efficiency studies, and multi-year planning for MBC’s school district and municipal clients. She leads the practice’s efforts in conducting cyber charter school financial and facility reviews on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She has also participated in efforts to support school districts in Pennsylvania’s financial recovery program, and has worked to develop a curriculum series for District leadership on best practices in District financial operations. She is also the project manager for MBC’s work supporting the Nassau County BOCES in its annual bidding of transportation services for school districts.
Ms. Brett’s other recent projects have included working with Lycoming County on the development of a multi-year budget plan as part of their participation in Pennsylvania’s Early Intervention Program (EIP) as well as Operational Reviews of the Finance Departments for the City of Wilmington, Delaware, and Columbus, Ohio, and an evaluation of the Health and Human Services Departments for Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining PFM, Ms. Brett worked as a Performance Management Project Manager at the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services (DHS). Her work concentrated on the maximization of federal revenues, along with issues of compliance, timeliness, and accuracy. She also worked on projects related to the implementation of Improving Outcomes for Children (IOC), as well as on projects related to DHS’ selection as a recipient of a federal Waiver for child welfare funding.
Meredith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from The College of William and Mary and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government.
